Programmer - Advanced PHP

So you think you can code and eat your own dog food?

Well okay you won't be touching our real backends, but you will be working on our Back end tools as well as working with our HTML team to integrate dynamic high volume transactional web sites.

We want another programmer who can produce quality code & work on innovative solutions for our customers.

It really is quite a simple position:

• Work with others
• Actually be able to work with PHP, MySQL, and extensions of same in a commercial environment (i.e. not just fiddling at Uni some years back)
• Work with others
• Commit to highest possible personal and professional standards

Everyone here is on a simple mission, keeping customers happy by providing solutions to fit the need. Thinking outside the square is required some days, other days it is just a grind. (we like to be truthful). Most days it is about doing what you enjoy (that's why you do it right?), getting on with the workload (there is plenty) and putting theory into action. Then of course there are the big moments where what you have done works, goes live and we get time to appreciate what we have achieved.

The Tech bit:

• 2+ years commercial backend PHP development experience, combined with some / all of the following:
• MySQL, Linux and OO development skills
• Familiar with MVC architecture and / or frameworks
• Adequate HTML, CSS skills
• Understand Ajax is not just a cleaning product and can use both forms
• Ability to grasp problems and solve them using research and collaboration
• iPhone app, Drupal and Magento development experience is a bonus
• Multi platform experience advantageous, esp iPhone, Android dev experience.
