Sales Coordinator - Foredeckie

What is a foredeckie?

A foredeckie is the person at the pointy end (front) of the boat, sorting out all the sales (oops sails) and getting really wet! Thankfully it is a virtual term so no one actually gets wet (normally).

In plain old HR speak this role is a Sales Coordinator. But it isn't plain where we are.

What will you do to help?

  • You will learn a fair bit about what we do
  • You will take calls, emails, tweets, live chat inquiries and make them sensible
  • You will prepare briefs, proposals, quotes, letters, emails, lunch (ok probably not lunch) and more
  • You will help and learn

How often will you be needed?

This is a fulltime position.

What will you need to get this awesome gig?

  • Supreme intelligence
  • If you don't have (a) then extreme cunning and a great poker face
  • Some pretty useful web skills - no not HTML and design stuff, more like usage of the interwebs
  • A reasonable idea that social web tools have nothing to do with spiders at the pub
  • You will simply get that customers and potential customers matter to everyone inside an organisation. We won't have to explain it to you, you will bring that part naturally with you, it will kind of seep out of you by accident.
  • You will be able to use windows, will be willing to just get stuff done, and be an achiever not a procrastinator.
  • You will have to get by @ireckon to get in the door. He isn't easily impressed ;)

What's in it for you?

It's a vital position within a mad agency/ dev company.

We will pay you. Which importantly will get you food and things.

You will learn heaps.

Your sanity will be tested, but we try to keep that co-worker locked up

Importantly we would like to hope you enjoy it and it becomes a useful stepping stone in your career / life.

Everyone here is on a simple mission, keeping customers happy by providing solutions to fit the need. Thinking outside the square is required some days, other days it is just a grind. (we like to be truthful). Most days it is about doing what you enjoy (that's why you do it right?), getting on with the workload (there is plenty) and putting theory into action. Then of course there are the big moments where what you have done works, goes live and we get time to appreciate what we have achieved.

Sound up your alley? Ireckon you need to apply now!
